Go-Mall Day

If you are wondering if its a go-mall day or golmaal, then its true to consider both. Think of a situation when you are locked up in a mall for a full day and to freak out within the premises. One should not get nauseated with this very thought because it is actually a time spent wisely if it is done so. Mall-ing around is one of the best way to spend time with your friends when u meet them just once a while.

The mall experience starts with a refreshing drink and a salad sandwich which is definite to energize you with a whole packed booster to carry on for the rest of the day. The next step would take u right to the place where the souls lie, i.e. to the book store, where one would get amused to the various kinds of writings and luxurious to spend on what money is worth for. A ride around the book store would enable you to pick up a large voluminous novel that would take to another world or a short book to get you inspired.

The next destination would be get into a theatre to watch a movie of your choice, which would be an English movie, which I would prefer watching, having a conscious subject and frame of mind to revive your thoughts and actions. A wholesome fun for two hours would make your stomach plead for food. The malls have well placed food counters and restaurants to almost every cuisine your taste buds may ask for. So choosing from a wider range of platters or to have a full packed lunch at a specialty restaurant may be chosen from.

Starting from home towards a mall would surely make everyone think of buying some exclusive piece of clothing that would suit either the upcoming occasion or the need to make yourself feel pampered. Here comes the next spot to get into those palatial stores to get yourself drenched into the fun of attractive new attire. This would take up your time wisely to get involved for another 2 hours.

Once again you would feel the need to have junk to make you feel good to have been interlocked in a mall. Then the next place would be get into a departmental store and get those stuffs that would fill your kitchen and all those places standing vacant to be refilled. The last stop would be to hit at the ice cream parlor and dwell yourself into the exotic flavors to mark the moments of a mall-full day. Enjoy Mall-ing :)

The sitcom series spree

Sheldon, Barney, Rachel, Howard, Robin, Lily, Ross.... Do these names ring a bell. Well from recent times i have been on a spree in watching the American sitcoms one after the other. They are so similar to each other yet so different. Each sitcom has its own essence and charm to get glued to. It had started off by watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S two years back and from then on its a craze to view more of these sitcoms portraying different culture and lifestyle to ours.

Its a mere connection that friends live in together to make each others lives so meaningful. After having done with the friends series, i started watching How I Met Your Mother(HIMYM). It showcased the relationships between friends, lovers, strangers and still makes me crave to know who is Ted's wife after all, Desperately having waited for the 6th season to begin and watch every episode to know who s the mother of the KIDS having said after each episode begins.

Awaiting for the new season of HIMYM i started watching another scientifically artificial intelligence filled living human robotic specialty filled The Big Bang Theory. The highly subjective physicist role of Sheldon and the patience to bear him by all his other friends is amusing. It displays scientific effect on every other thing in universe and the humor added with this touch. With this on a roll the next awaited series would be Everybody loves Raymond.

From Ross's experiments on dinosaurs to Lily's cute little acts, from Ted's search of his perfect wife to sheldon's theories on every meager happening, from Barney's sense of being a perfect match for every girl to Howard's exuberant clothing style, all of them have a special maniac to make oneself involved with their behavior. I have thoroughly enjoyed and will be enjoying these for a lifetime. All those reading this blog should also have a sneak peek of these sitcoms and watch it at some point of their lives.

Bunking Twist

Its been so long that I could not come up with a different thought which i could pen down here. An idea just struck when just few words were uttered by mi sister. We had celebrated a great day of Raksha Bandhan and an all cousins meet had a perfect blend of lots of talks, pics and fun. The main plot of this blog focuses on various means of bunking college.

Bunking college or work is a normal phenomenon. Not only do the youngsters do it even quite oldies bunk their work at office. I came across three types of bunking
  • Quarter Bunking
  • Half Bunking
  • Full Bunking
These words did ring a bell because I had no idea on the variations. With a little clue on these i knew more on it.

Quarter Bunking: This type of bunking would mean when u just bunk college etc for a few hours at the end and the places that u visit during this session would just a routine place like a mall or a cafe where u just hang about to wile away the time before its time to get back home. Also such a bunk would take place when u dont have enough money to spend and just 2-3 friends to hang out with.

Half Bunking : This type of bunking would indicate that a little planning has taken place and the hours of bunking is extended for a reasonable time say right after the break in a college. During such a bunk the plan would go little higher on the budget say a movie and a lunch plan. Its a mysterious plan as to not let anyone know about it and just disappear when no one is watching. This bunk may include more than 5 people.

Full Bunking: This type of bunking would refer to a wholesome day of fun and joy and not worrying about anything else going on. One could bunk for a whole day to escape from a presentation or a lull day. Under such a bunk a full day of outing to far off places to the outskirts takes place and it covers the time from when the college starts and may end up extending a little extra hours after college, as to specify that we had to prepare for another presentation tomorrow. The budget is highest among all and many people are included in such a plan.

A little thinking and persuasion on the mind made me realize this theory of bunking which I could never imply in my college life. The new generation rocks with such modern theories

Marri(man)ageable Affair

Marriages are made in heaven, is what all of us have heard of, but the post effects are that they have to be lived here(however this 'here' is interpreted as). Marriages are merely not an affair committed to the couple, but everyone else who is associated with them. The close ones, far away relatives, friends, each one wants to be seen at their best and make their presence. There has been a timely delay in me writing a blog too in this situation.

I was quite busy shopping for my cousin's marriage and each member of my family had started planning for a couple of months before it. The day we hit on to the markets and shop to check out the latest trends and fashion, it makes all exciting and tiring. Even a non-shopaholic person would turn to one during this time, as it seems most important to look the best. It keeps leading to one another and we end up buying almost half the world out there.

The shoppong experience is not only a tedious task for the buyers but for the sellers too. We Indians have a tendency to make the shopkeeper display dozens of each variety available in the shop and then finally put down saying "Ah, tat does not suit my complexion or that is not what i was looking for", frustrating the shopkeeper and feeling within that i hope this sales person does not stay when i make the next purchase out here. :D

This went on for a couple of months and we finally completed the shopping,, though some stuffs kept carried on till the last minute. After so much of happening when we finally arrive on the day of marriage, it all seems like this evening would wind up in a fe hours and all that we did for is gonna last here. Hence the package of memories we hold within us is what makes the experience complete and fruitful.

As marriages are made in heaven, I wish they dont make a hell out of it.

Right Writing

We all get inspired when we see read something which goes in its natural style and fluency. As I love writing when i read about what pople write through their heart out, there is an immense happiness which actually makes one feel so good. As I recently read blogs from the posts of a blogger about his school days and in various parts it actually inspired me to instantly write this blog.

To become a writer one does not have to buff words to make them so imperative. The style and mark of the person is highlighted through the flow of his/her writing. One should write in such a way that it seems all true, through an element of fiction is created. The sense of making it natural and humorous with the content available makes one a good writer by itself. No jazzy language is needed. A good writer makes its writing picturesque through the format.

One of the best ways to know that yous writing is recognized is when people comment that they have been inspired to writing themselves too. When one gets deeply involved in your wirting and does not wish to leave before reading it completely, you can assume that you are reaching towrads the pinnacle or writing. Enjoy expressing thoughts beyond words.

Mood Swings

Feeling low in a moment and joyful in the other , its a feeling which most of us experience sometime or the other. We want to live every second of life as we wish to, but do not get even 50% of it. Life brings in twists and turns at most unexpected timing. Bringing fun in everything we do happens with most rarest species on earth.

Being lonely brings those thoughts to one's mind which flashes like lightning through us. We want to achieve so much in life but even smallest obstacle on our way which we overcome by mere means, make us bring to a full stop. But the solution only is bring in a slow going halt putting a comma and moving on. Our mood changes so frequently more faster than a second could tick on the clock. We get mature but at times stumble even in front of a small stone that our ambition of climbing the high mountain seems to disappear slowly.

This blog is a means to bring in inspiration to control our moods and act according to the needs of the situation and to enable us to conquer that pinnacle which we had slowly built in our minds and heart through sheer toil and patience.

Cheesy Cream(y) Center meet

A long awaited meet with your dearest friends done with major planning and adjusting schedule and finally gets successful, is what the current situation would appear to all. Once a time when friend promised to meet whenever time would permit and always be available seems like a rare possibility, with each one joining in a new stream and including a hectic lifestyle. Such was a meet I planned up with my friends wherein we could meet each other after a year

Planning for hours and messaging to decide on a place is what was the second step after deciding to meet on a particular date. Finally we zeroed down on a restaurant named Cream Center in Chennai. Its located on a busy road at College road. With refreshing interiors and bright feel, it includes cuisines ranging from Mexican to Italian and North Indian. It was a meet that marked lots of fun, food and chatting. To make it more special was the sizzling hot brownie which we all had thought to have instantly we settled on the table.

Having arrived half an hour late with my friend, the other friends kept waiting at the table for us to arrive. The waiters and manager gave out a suspicious look, as to whether these people would actually order food or just keep gazing around. They actually took a liberty to come up to the table and giving them a warning call to order faster and vacate the table for the unexpected customers they expected to come in large numbers (Well though that did not happen that day)

This meet marked a surprise for my b'day, as my friends got in a cake for me and click click went on the camera to capture these moments forever. We ordered various dishes and varieties that we enjoyed till our platter and stomach gave a signal to stop it for the day. This meet made us all remember our old college days, the present and future living. Just one thing that we all missed on this meet was our dear friend, who is married now and is in Mumbai.

A Superlicious B'day

A day every year which we wait for though we dont actually do so. Yes its our b'day. Some people wait for it all throughout the year and party hard, some just wait for that day to arrive as it would and make the best out of it with near and dear ones. I fall in the second category, who wait for the day to come as it would and enjoy it and make it most memorable. This b'day which falls today(27/3) was no less than before. It was a day very fulfilling and ecstatic.

The day started off by thanking God for making me see this yet another beautiful day in my life. As it had to start off calls kept coming in every now and then. With the expectations of whose call would come up next it seemed more of guessing and winning game. Next came in pulling legs of friends for all sane and insane reasons and taking a liberty to do so as it was my b'day and no one would mind what i do today. Plans were set up with my siblings and two of my cousins who readily joined the league of celebration.

The outing went on at Citi Centre, with crowd pouring in maximum being a weekend. First place to head towards was the food court and make an attack on the dishes to satisfy the taste buds and not worrying on the calories that it would end in adding up. An order for pizza, followed by a small surprise by my sisters of the world's smallest cake was given. The enjoyment of sharing such a small cake seemed more than sharing huge kgs of cake. A chocolate cake with choco chips really tempted each one of us. After that we went to shop for a few stuffs and headed back towards home.

The evening followed by spending time at home and relishing the day's activities and a small surprise gift and a light dinner of sandwich. The could not have ended better than finishing it up by writing this blog. I really thank all who made this day astounding and relishing.

A Bang-Lore edition

Times passed by, the journey through the city of gardens has come to a halt and I am back where i was. Unlimited fun, outing, good food, best feel of nature and achieving lot of moments that are captured for a lifetime. A stay for six months brought in so many changes in day-to -day life that things seem so different being the way I used to.

The fast paced life along with the feeling of being calm, surrounded the mind being at such a place. The college life, new experience of exploring new places to hang out n unending eateries. It seemed like a package for fun and frolic. The changing weathers and swinging moods, led to reaching to places that did not even turn up on planning. From small road side eateries to some of the posh restaurants, all seemed to have been added to the list of visiting week after week.

A challenge to complete the studies successfully and adding a degree behind a degree was the priority. But along with this came so many other things that made life more exciting and elucidating. A journey that would be cherished for a lifetime and wish to be there back soon.

Happiness at its core, its a place where one craves for more.

Save our nation's pride

India proudly presents its national culture, integrity, bird, flower and animal. But it seems like in the near future the latter will fail to appear in the nation's pride list. Yes its the national animal of India- Tiger. With an initiative taken up by a leading company in creating an awareness on the number of tigers that are left in our country, it comes as a shock to most of us. There are only 1411 tigers left or may be lesser now. From the thousands of them having been counted upon year on year it now seems reducing rapidly. Some people just argue on the fact that such awareness is created to gain publicity, but let us focus on the key issue than blaming each other

The reason for such an happening is not due to the natural causes but due to their dying before the age by unscrupulous means and with an aim of fun and enjoyment. Hunting and killing of animals was once considered a necessity in the early ages of man, when he had nothing to eat. But now it has come out as a passion and to flaunt for the bravery and courage a person may possess by killing animals. This passion would soon be a sign of danger by the total extinction of tigers like dinosaurs.

This blog is written to serve to add a touch to the awareness created and spreading of this message to those who do not realize what harm they are causing to the country and what treasure it may lose in the future.

Save nature, save the country.

C-B-A of Driving a car

Wondering why the title seems abstract and not mentioned as A-B-C, well that is how the main mechanisms in the car are placed( Clutch-Brake-Accelerator). I took the wheels on the road to a day perfectly started in this new year on 1st January. Learning to drive independently for the first time took a lot of time initially, but once decided now had get into action

Started off with a bang loaded with lots of enthusiasm to learn driving a car so that I may join the crowd of youth(largely) and people of all ages leading the race on road to reach to their destinations in the fastest time possible. With such excitement I got myself enrolled at the driving school, went on for a class on learning the various signs on the road and safety measures to be undertaken while driving.

The first started off with a small duration of half an hour to get a grip on the actual working of the various parts in the car and to be able to manage to drive for more than 4 Kms ( obviously with the trainer on the other side, to make all obstacles disappear for me ;). The only grudge was to get up early and start up at 7 itself. As time went on ten days of training went on by learning it properly and to get the confidence to drive independently.

Almost after a month got to give the test drive today and getting a confirmation on receiving the Driving license after two weeks brought in a feel of another achievement after successfully completing my M.B.A- http://anjubafna.blogspot.com/2010/02/move-beyond-adequacy-mba.html . Now time to move ahead and practice driving with efficiency and to enjoy the freedom of using this opportunity in the most happening and useful manner.

A Move Beyond Adequacy (M.B.A)

A day in one's life starting from the thoughts of being at college, friends, the endless assignments, cribbing for any acts done by the teachers' which aims at taking away the leisure to unending talks, laughing aloud for no reason at all have here come to an end to begin a new phase of for 'practical' application of all that we have learnt through out our educational journey

Having completed my post graduation I call M.B.A not in its original abbreviated form, but one which is beyond the adequate requirement of a degree. The feel of having acquired more enhanced knowledge which could be applied to building the strategy of one's own development in life seems to require an applause. The way we manage to complete the most difficult assignments in the shortest duration possible to studying huge piles in just a matter of one night could happen only with the students who have been trained to handle all pressures in a strategic manner ;)

Having made a bunch of new friends for the 4th time it rather seemed that the bonding would not be as great as the previous ones. It proved to be wrong as I had new friends, t was same with others. We got to each other all well and in a period of certain time, college seemed more fun due to friends than studies. Wish all the friends do keep in touch as oaths taken when we leave the college. The journey through this study has thought how to adapt to various situations, how to handle stress and also how to smile in the most difficult times with the support of friends. In a nutshell it has given us the motive to change the dynamics within us to turn around the problems to solutions which are just more than adequate.

A Fantabulous New Year Beginning..

The long awaited 20-10(as ppl call it) has arrived and brought in a lot of new stuffs that i experienced for the very first time in my life. I know its a little late to write but the new year bash was celebrated and carried over to the whole of the weekend. The first feeling of excitement and happiness came in when the new year brought in a continuous stretch of holidays for three days. On 31st night the pre new year welcome was started by setting fire on the dance floor by people of all ages at the Karnataka State Cricket Association Club. Dancing for 3 hours nonstop was a hell lot of experience to actually be lost into the celebrations. There was like no stopping to the fun and frolic.

The New year began with happiness of being satisfied to achieve and enjoy lot of new stuffs. With the exploration of new restaurants came in tatsing the flavors at Chowka in Indiranagar. A restaurant which serves Rajasthani meal with the real feel as the ambience and the clothes of the waiters are similar to ones wore in Rajasthan. A sumptous meal and taste that fills one to their hearts content. The thali contains dal baati, roti, sabzi, dahi chaat etc. All spices and flavors come authentically as per Rajasthani taste.

Saturday brought in more element of surprise to the place visited. Barbeque Nation in Indiranagar. Its an exquisite and exotic place for a variety of starters that are grilled on the table and one can enjoy them served hot. The restaurant is in-house and also rooftop. Sitting on the rooftop added to the excitement. The starters keep getting served unless the flag beside on the table is put down. The starters are followed by an unlimited buffet. With great starters to healthy starters, north indian main course and side dishes to tempting and delicious desserts including fruits, ice cream, sweet, pastry and mousse, its a complete enriching experience and worth every penny you spend to enjoy the food with the service and ambience matching the high standards.

Sunday came closer with shopping around at Oasis Mall in Koramangala followed by lunch at Mast Kalandar( about which I had written earlier- http://anjubafna.blogspot.com/2009/11/foodie-weekend.html) A long wait and serching around made us land at this restaurant as places where buzzing with people at all places. A Halka phulka meal as a perfect north indian really would crave one to visit this place again. The weekend ended on a perfect note by watching '3 Idiots'. Its a movie which would entertain nonstop with every scene coming in with a thought to ponder over and inspiring to change the way the education system operates and to encourage one to study and become what he/she aspires.

The great new year celebration with the never-done-before activities really makes it most memorable and a cherishing one. Wishing for such a happening life all throughout the year.
